FALL FISHING IN DANIA BEACH, HOLLYWOOD & FORT LAUDERDALE
Fall is a transition period in South Florida fishing. As water temperatures begin to cool and bait migrates along the coast, pelagic species move closer to shore. This time of year often brings consistent opportunities for sailfish, mahi mahi, kingfish, and sharks, especially when conditions line up.
Launching from Dania Beach, we’re well positioned to fish the reef edge and nearshore waters where much of the fall activity takes place. Fall trips often involve watching bird activity, working live bait along migration paths, and adjusting locations based on daily movement.
TRIP OPTIONS
4 Hour Trip
A good choice during fall when fish are moving through closer to shore. Shorter trips allow us to fish the reef edge, work bird activity, or set up on migrating fish without long runs.
6 Hour Trip
Our most recommended fall option. Provides enough time to follow moving fish, work multiple areas, and switch techniques if conditions change.
8 Hour Trip
Best for anglers who want more flexibility. Allows time to stay with active areas longer or move offshore if fish push deeper.
FALL
TARGET SPECIES
Sailfish
Fall marks the start of the sailfish migration. Fish begin moving along the reef line and nearshore waters, often showing themselves around bait schools and surface activity.
Mahi Mahi
Mahi move closer to shore during fall and are frequently found under birds or along current edges. Many fall mahi are caught by sight fishing and pitching live baits.
King Mackerel (Kingfish)
Kingfish remain active through the fall months and are commonly caught along the reef edge while fishing live bait.
Sharks
Various shark species follow bait migrations during fall and are often caught while targeting other species.
