This is the season when cold fronts push pelagic predators close to shore, and while the fishing can be slower than our summer frenzy, winter offers some of the highest-quality catches of the entire year. If you're chasing a bucket-list sailfish or want the thrill of hooking into a big shark or wahoo, winter is the time to go.
TRIP OPTIONS
4 Hour Trip
Perfect for a quick winter mission. We often troll planers for wahoo or run a short kite spread for sailfish and kingfish. Great option for families, morning outings, or guests staying nearby in Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale.
6 Hour Trip
Our most popular winter trip. More time for kite fishing, soaking live baits, and covering productive edges. This length offers the best balance of effort and opportunity for sailfish, kings, and blackfin tuna.
8 Hour Trip
Ideal for anglers who want the best shot at catching some quality fish. The longer duration gives us time to run different depths, switch techniques, and work specific structure. Excellent for kite fishing days and targeted wahoo runs.

TARGET SPECIES
Sailfish
Winter is peak sailfish season in South Florida. Cold fronts push big numbers of sails along the reef line, and kite fishing is the most exciting way to target them, explosive strikes, long runs, and unforgettable jumps.
Wahoo
Fast, powerful, and one of the best-eating fish in the ocean. Winter wahoo are often caught while trolling planers along color changes and structure. A true South Florida trophy.
King Mackerel (Kingfish)
Strong winter runs of kingfish move through the reefs near Dania Beach and Hollywood. These fish crush live baits and can be a good time under kite spreads.
Blackfin Tuna
Though most abundant in spring, winter still produces quality blackfin, especially on days with strong current and clean water.
Hammerhead & Reef Sharks
Large sharks migrate through the area during the colder months. Fighting one of these giants is a test of strength and will as battles are often intense.
